serveThanks for your interest in serving at Southgate Family Church!

Our belief is that as people choose to serve, whether in the church, in the local community, or around the world, the impact of that service will change lives—for those serving, for the people they serve, and even for those who see them giving their time to help someone else.

It takes many volunteers to make Sunday happen! Are you willing to help? Our needs are as diverse as the people who attend our services. Below is HOW you can get involved and serve others in our church family.

Your involvement matters because your service does make a difference. The sections below describe many of the service opportunities where we need your help. Please look around and then let us know about the area in which you would like to volunteer.

Sunday services wouldn’t run without our many volunteers! Could you help in one of the teams? We need people to give a warm and hearty welcome (both in church, at the door and in the car parking area), others to oversee the coffee and teas, setting up and setting down teams, prayer teams, life coaches and more!

Kingdom Kids volunteers show up and work together in their unique roles to create a fun environment for Primary School kids to learn who God is and how he wants them to live. We could not open the doors of Kingdom Kids without the incredible volunteers who offer their gifts to serve and love our kids.

Do you have a heart to see the youth of today become great leaders of tomorrow? Then you would be a perfect volunteer for the passion8 team! We need people who love to draw out the potential in these young ones to see them become mighty ones!

At Southgate we are passionate about seeing people set free – especially when it comes to debt. We run a debt counselling centre in conjunction with Christians Against Poverty (CAP) - a truly brillent award winning charity. We are the only organisation delivering debt crisis managment in the area and we need you to help! Could you come alongside someone who needs CAP help and befriend and encourage them? At Southgate family church, we are convinced that every believer should be an apprentice to someone and should have an apprentice. Your apprentice is someone that you are constantly praying for and pouring into. Even a ‘one-day-old’ believer has a faith and a story to tell! Even they should be finding someone to share that with and bring them on in their own journey of faith.

Adult Ministry volunteers invest in our adult attendees through hosting and leading groups, and mentoring.

Could you be a Group leader? Could you host a Group in your home? Would you like to help with ‘Starting Point’ – a group specifically for seekers? We need people who are maturing in their faith and are ready for the acceleration that serving others brings.

Come and talk with us if you are interested in joining the team.

As a church, we love to meet needs in every area possible. One particular area that needs everybody's contribution is that of 'food bags'.

Our 'food bag' ministry is simply a gift of food to households that are struggling. We give as-and-where we see a need, and always offer prayer and encouragement as we drop off the food.

We can give away as much as is given to us... Could you donate food (non perishables) on a regular basis to help with this work? The more that comes in, the more can go out! - It's that easy!
